80’s sportswear but more specifically, Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling.
Pattern and Decoration artist Kendall Shaw’s works Sentimental Journey and Odette were the inspirations for the applique.
To drive the 80’s theme home the Love Shockers were fashioned after the decade’s opulent bridal and party dress trends. ditching the traditional white for the characters’ color palette.
